My Hit Counters / Eyeballs & Impressions – FAQ
Here are answers to some common questions about how Hit Counters work in Unlock MLS:
- Do Hit Counters show total views or unique views?**
Yes, both.- Client Views count total views (for example, if one client views the listing 10 times, it counts as 10 views).
- 7-day and 14-day views count unique client views.
- Can I see how often my listing was viewed on an IDX site?
Yes, as of Matrix 6.5, views of full listings on IDX-framed sites are tracked and displayed in the Agent IDX and Public IDX columns
- Can I find out which agents' clients viewed my listing?
No, client activity remains private. However, you can use the Reverse Prospect feature to see which agents have Auto Emails where your listing is a match.
- Why do some Hit Counter numbers go down?
Matrix Hit Counters provide real-time counts tied to contacts. If a contact is deleted, any related activity will also be removed, which can lead to lower numbers.
- Why don't the Favorite or Possibility counts match Reverse Prospecting results?
Some agents choose to exclude their clients from reverse prospecting. Consequently, these clients' activities (Favorites or Possibilities) will still appear in Hit Counters but will not be reflected in Reverse Prospect results.
Why do I see zeros across all columns for eligible listings?
Hit Counters rely on the Listing Analytics table. If this table is empty, please get in touch with your MLS DBA to ensure the Daily–Refresh Hit Counters job runs correctly.
Tip: Use Reverse Prospecting and Hit Counters to understand listing engagement completely.
